Sunshine and it's dry again. I'm looking forward to my walk.
I am also counting down the hours until my Chiro appt (30 if you must know). My shoulder is just not at all comfortable, probably not helped by lifting Rosie up a few times yesterday, but needs must and I love our cuddles. It was painful in the night and no better this morning.
It was lovely to have all my girls here, and they sorted out the last of the things I needed for NZ, fixed the printer for me (it wasn't working), hung the washing up, unloaded the car, fixed the curtains, sorted out the battery charging for my small camera and sorted out the parcel I have to send - well, that came under getting the printer to work, but I now know how to take a photo of the QR code should I need to use one in future. That's a good list of ticks.
Gabby bought us lunch, and I threw together a slightly-curried turkey breast in bits, with mangetout and cauliflower and the other half of the Spanish grains, which are tasty on their own account.
I need to tidy up the paperwork littering one end of the kitchen table and think what tea might be tonight. It will probably be something with the salmon I have in the freezer, though I find it rather boring to eat but can't spice it up with more than some grated ginger.
I got my NHS letter regarding my Echocardiogram appt and have the joy of stripping to the waist in front of strangers to be smothered in gel and ECG'd. I know it's nothing they've not seen thousands of times before but when you no longer have pert little boobs it ain't so much fun to strip off and lie down! I shall cheer myself up by going to Doughty's (fabric shop) afterwards.
I'm off out shortly to the PO, and then I need to trot round with the vacuum cleaner as no end of pine needles came in the front door yesterday.
Have a good Monday.
Your lovely girls showed their true colours, helping where help was needed it and being good company too.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to stripping off nowadays I just pretend I’m not in the room! x
They're so helpful. I, too, shall pretend I am not in the room!
DeleteAnkles exposed too for ECG so not a good day for warm tights under trousers! We went for our free, seniors’ flu jabs last week. Everyone uncovered the top of an arm, or helped others to, in the corridor, and we were all done and out very quickly.
ReplyDeleteI haven't worn tights for years. Socks only. Had my flu jab, arm bared, and in and out in less than a minute.
DeleteTotally agree reference stripping off for various appointments, not much fun!
ReplyDeleteIt's all coming together for your trip away, I've not been to NZ and looking forward to hearing your take on it.
Alison in Devon x
I know it will be amazing. Just worried about the airport and the flight and leaving the cats. Tam and Gabs coming on days off to stay with them but rest of the time, P is feeding them for me.
DeleteThe sort of ticks one likes to see!!
ReplyDeleteWhen one's boobs disappear into one's armpits as you lie down....
Boobs in armpits - spot on gz, spot on!!!
DeleteEven when I was young and perky, it wasn't my idea of fun. You know what IS my idea of fun? Going to NZ!
ReplyDeleteI know I will love NZ, but have Cat Worries and Travel Worries . . .
DeleteWhen I had my echo it was done by a woman that thoughtfully covered my breasts with a small towel. I found that just lovely.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I rather think I'd need a large towel for mine Jackie!!
ReplyDeleteSeems a bit much to do for an ECG, it's only a bunch of wires they attach with sticky pads, I've had quite a few, even take on with my watch now if I need it but after Googleing Echocardiogram you have my sympaties, They have done that to my privates before now. Most embarrassing
ReplyDeleteOh Billy, I am chuckling here at the thought of you either having sticky bits stuck on your meat and two veg, or else having them plastered in gel! That's made me giggle :)
DeleteI might be getting mixed up with an ultrasound which was a similar procedure with the jelly and hand set. 😳
ReplyDeleteThis one is to see how efficiently the different bits of my heart work.
