Missing in Action

One of the inside stands at Malvern last week.

Apologies for the dearth of postings in the last week, but our eldest daughter T has been here with us, and we have been busy enjoying ourselves - and working hard on tidying and cleaning the house.  This all went swimmingly until the Dyson died.  With a new agent arriving tomorrow to assess the house, a new Dyson had to join the clan and I was mortified to find how poorly the old one had been performing (e.g. hardly at all), so I now have to go over the entire house again with it - having shut doors on rooms I hahd originally deemed "done" . . .

Yesterday was the Fleamarket for us, so we were out for about 12 hours and I feel dire this morning.  Breakfast had a Ibuprofen element to try and control the aching all over . . .  LOVE Fleamarkets, but it takes us 3 days to recover from one at our age!

Right, this won't do.  T is now home and life is staring me in the face again . . .

  1. Reminds me of my own intentions for the last two weeks to be much more active and keep moving. This weekend I suddenly realised that it has not made me more supple, more like more stiff. I am keeping it up for another week or two to see what happens though.

  2. Glad you enjoyed the flea market and had a good week with T. Also hope the new agent does the trick with selling the house.

  3. There is an embargo on Dysons in our house, ever since Dyson himself moved his factory from Malmesbury to overseas, the people of Malmesbury were not too pleased on the lost jobs. But they are good, though expensive.

  5. I missed this one! I'm afraid I love my Dyson, even though its brush head has had to be replaced seven times! All done under the five year guarantee so I can't fault them. I have a DC24 which is the small ball one. Life changing. The engineer told me that they only make each model for nine months before moving on to new technology, so I've been given a refurbished one now because of the brush issues. Sorry - I'm boring myself now. xxx

  6. Thank you for all your comments. With all our cats, it HAS to be a Dyson, and I have to say, this one is so much lighter and easier to use and I can use it on the stairs too (yippee) instead of having to do it with the end of the hose.

Thelma - I can understand your embargo, but with us, it's horses for courses. I thought I was going to have to rope in Keith's mother's 1950s vacuum from sheer desperation (having said that, it was very powerful).

Rowan - I have started a letter to you - hold the faith! Agents now changed : )

Weaver - I had a good work-out yesterday, walking from the Hospital to the auction and back to Lidl's, looking for my dearly beloved! I will be walking regularly again now I seem to have slightly better health . . .
