Never underestimate the power of a Jammy Dodger

Haven't had one for years so a packet sneaked into last week's shopping was very welcome! Just one and it was BLISS - the wee sugar hit I needed after ironing, packing, packing and more . . . packing.  Nearly there now.

My friend's geese.

Right, back to the bubble wrap.  Now have a roll taller than me and 100m long, but we are still getting through it at a great rate, as much needed for all the prints paintings here.

  1. I had to google "Jammy Dodger" as I did not know what that was. Looks delicious! I have never seen those where I live. Glad you are making progress with your packing. Sounds exhausting!

    1. As I wrote it, I thought, do they have these outside the UK? Probably, under a different name. It was a real treat I have to say.

We have been working hard at the packing for weeks now, BUT we are downsizing from a 19 room house, and I've lived here half my life, so you accumulate a lot of "stuff".

  2. With a title like that I had to see what was going on. Who on earth came up with the idea of such a ridiculous biscuit?

    1. I don't know who invented them Tom, but think they deserve a medal! Just looked it up and they were named after Rodger the Dodger in the Beano - I used to have the Beano and the Dandy every week, until I changed to Horse & Hound, aged 10!

    1. I don't have the stamina I had 10 years ago Pat, when we first went on the market (had to come off a couple of times to have work done and because it was overpriced after that bad recession).

  6. We have them in Canada, made by Peek Freens but they go by a different name.

Your packing seems to be moving right along.

    God bless.

  7. I am rather partial to a jammy dodger myself :) Do you remember those big ones you could get? Good luck with last minute packing and the move. I so hope all goes to plan.

  8. Haven't eaten a Jammy Dodger, probably forever. I like sweet things but the sugar sets me on a high, and I will get hungry very quickly. I think you are going to miss your walks around this part of Wales when you move. But then there is all the excitement of the move to look forward to!
