It's KITTEN time!

I went to see the kittens today, and chose which ones were coming home with me.  I had a choice of three, two already being spoken for.  You will have to wait until tomorrow to see which ones are now in a puppy crate in my kitchen (and have already wasted hours of my day being entertaining as they explored the kitchen!!) They are ADORABLE and I am SO happy.

This is mum, who arrived as a stray, but is now in a very loving home.  Dad, we assume, was a Siamese . . .

  1. They should develop good voices....and characters! We had a pair that were feral tabby cross grey Burmese.

    1. Well, so far the runt of the litter is the Voice and sibling is the Leg Climber!! Your pair sound like they must have been so pretty and full of character.

  2. What a pretty Mom-cat. No wonder the babies are all cute. I think I've mentioned that when we went kitten viewing in July 2021, Rosie was chosen for me, placed in my arms with the words, "I want you to take this one--she is special."

  3. Isn't she? Two of her first litter (when she was Untouchable) stayed with the couple - one is grey and white like mum and the other is a tabby. Obviously a different dad at work here. How lovely for Rosie to be chosen specially for you like that.

  4. Can't wait to see them. Our cats just show up here and there is a new one we are trying to tame so it will go in shelter in the winter. We don't think it is tame. It did follow two of our cats home the other morning and didn't run off when I spoke to it. It has been named Gilligan by my husband. We spay or neuter all our cats here.

    1. Where we lived before we always had nine cats! If one died, its place was soon taken by another stray. The timing was always accurate . . . The couple with the mum are hoping to get her spayed soon, now she has been tamed - she was still wild when these were conceived. We spay or neuter all our cats too, but the farm up the road has lots of cats which just breed indescriminantly.

  6. They all look so cute. I know exactly what you mean about spending so much time watching them. And you might as well, because, like children, they're going to grow up too fast.

    1. I haven't even done the breakfast washing up as they're asleep and I don't want to disturb them!

  8. How fun to have kittens in the house! They have a good living home there. They'll give the older boys some excitement.

  10. Goodness what sweethearts. The Mum is adorable. Does one of the kittens have a docked or missing tail ?
But who lets an un neutered male cat run around. I have been away at hospital and sick so I have missed much of the story.

    1. Mum was a stray. They are hoping to neuter her before she gets pregnant again. No, all kittens have their tails present - I think it was curled under in that last photo.

    2. P.S. Sorry you were away in hospital and hope you are better now.

  11. As I'm reading you posts backwards I know which ones you chose, but that 'mini Mum' would have been my choice. They are all adorable.

  12. I missed this post due to medical and family issues, was in a daze...]
How darling! The kittens are so sweet. I wonder if their eyes will stay Siamese blue. Good to know the mum has a good home now too. Where is that Daddy, tho? Siamese aren't usually outdoor cats are they?

PS is that awful flooding on your header? I don t recall wetlands like that?

    love
