Dore Abbey
I feel so weak though - lack of sleep and then no food for two days followed by hospital "nutrition". Well, if I'd had to survive on the "geriatric goldfish in breadcrumbs" which passes for fish which was lunch yesterday - chips ok though - I'd have soon reached my target weight!!
I just had a small bowl of chicken soup for tea and was in bed by 8 p.m. - Tam & Co had gone to Hereford - in case I needed driving home and one of them would have bought my car back. I said I was ok and they went to see friends. I couldn't sleep until they were home though.
I've had tea and toast and will go back to bed shortly as I am bushed. My brain seems to have migrated somewhere too! Thank you for all your kind comments and I will try and answer them later.
So pleased you're home. No need to reply, just take extra care and rest.

I'll second that.
DeleteI’ll third it! Danette x x
DeleteGlad that you're safely home, Take care of yourself. Lisa Holmes x
ReplyDeleteI am being very idle, which is probably just what I need.
DeleteHome - Good News indeed. Don't worry about replying, just rest up and know we are wishing you well
ReplyDeleteResting up, and it's nice knowing I have all my blogging friends sending good wishes.
DeleteHospital stays are exhausting, plus you have been very poorly - rest as much as possible and regain your strength.
ReplyDeleteAlison in Devon x
The first night I was in, there was a late admission and it was nearly midnight before lights out.
DeletePlease just rest!! So glad you are ok!
ReplyDeleteI am!
DeleteBeen away from the computer a couple of days and now this for you. Horrible news, but your home and safe. All the best, get better and I hope you can find enough good food to make you feel better. Take care, love Thelma x
ReplyDeleteI'd let things slip with nutrition and knew it, but can now put it right. I have made a shopping list for tomorrow with what I should be eating.
DeleteSo glad you are home. Rest up, get lots of sleep, and cuddle with the kitties!
ReplyDeleteThe kitties saw to that alright!
DeleteI know what feeling weak is like after coming out of Hospital totally debilitating. Glad your home and on the mend
ReplyDeleteI am surprised how shattered I am and I was only in there 2 1/2 days. Felt like forever though. Good to be back where I belong.
DeleteSo glad you are home. Rest, rest and more rest. Also keep your fluids up, soup will be ideal as its easy to swallow. Raining here thankfully as I had bought a YS hebe and some pansies that were on a multi offer. Also managed to rescue the washing. Take care of yourself, hopefully you have lots of reading. Xx
ReplyDeleteDanny made me soup yesterday, but it needs letting down - I prefer broths to stand the spoon up in soup. Your garden is going to be fab next year. About to hang my washing up - but inside as we have showers and grey skies.
DeleteSo glad you are home. Please rest.
ReplyDeleteI have to rest as feeling shattered still, but less than yesterday.
DeleteThe bliss of your own bed. Rest is the best medicine for now.
ReplyDeleteYou are right on both counts Susan. How is that lovely cottage of yours? Hope you are properly settled in now.
