Ideas about Keith coming home

Apparently the choice is down to Keith, and if he wants to come home rather than go to Llandod, he can do so.  Of course, he wants to come home.  Now I have to discuss this with the ward sister and get a plan in place.  His bed is upstairs and the would be mayhem if we had to bring it down to the living room - nowhere for the sofa to go and nowhere for contents of Library to go if he were to be put in there.  It is crammed with furniture, books and stock, plus K's Windsor chairs and two armchairs. . .  Like Scarlett O'Hara, I will think about that tomorrow. The sooner he is home, the better.

Hay Bluff yesterday (above) and today with a bit more snow (below).

It rained very heavily nearly all the way home today and there was a lot of surface water.

Tam and Jon still getting used to being a family of 3, and Tam is still struggling with the problems of Carpel Tunnel which surfaced during her pregnancy.  She is frightened of dropping her precious little one.  Her feet and ankles are very swollen too, which is common.

Sorry I've not had a chance to answer your comments, or do a proper post on the church at Vowchurch, but not enough hours in the day and I have been awake 3 hours every night since Monday.  I hope I can sleep better tonight.

Patchwork fabric now ironed.  I need to find some suitable curtains for the double door into the summerhouse, as of course, the ones I had which would have been perfect went to the Charity Shop last summer. . .

Have an enjoyable Easter all.

  1. I don't wonder that you are awake at night. Just too much on your mind. My thoughts are with you.

  2. So many decisions to make, it is no wonder you are awake at night.

    God bless.

  3. You're dealing with so much. I hope Tam is healing well. It sounds that K is doing better. Stress can really interfere with sleep, but poor sleep adds stress. I wish you less stress and a good night's sleep.

  5. That’s good news he’s heading towards coming out and home. Surely the furniture items in the library can be swopped with the ones in the bedroom? Although with no downstairs toilet maybe keeping him upstairs is the best option? Share the intricacies of all this decision making ( almost impossible when one is tired) with D and E. Let them have a say in what the best solution might be for you all , that takes it ‘all off you’. You cannot go on like this J x I’m worried about you. Your family will not cope with you in a heap or in bed with exhaustion. I’m sure the nurse you speak to will lay out what Keith’s needs are and they may have to supersede aesthetic ones. It’s better to have him home and not be driving hundreds of miles and have the house a bit upside down. I hope today you can forget it all for a short while and enjoy some baby cuddles, if T’s hormones are leaving her she may well be weepy and overwhelmed so brace for that. It’s quite normal so lots of hugs and assurances and make sure J is the one making the cuppas whilst you two are sat with each other holding your new little grand baby xxxx Danette xxx

  6. It might sound harsh of me, but would it be better for you if Keith went into the cottage hospital for a few days? You could still visit without the hours of driving and it would give you a wee bit of breathing space before he comes home. In Hywel Dda, they won't send anyone needing a high level of care home until they have a 6 week care package in place. As I was so often told, you are no good to anyone if you are exhausted.
