Copenhagen

Well, we have arrived safely, but it felt like a long journey even though the actual flight was only an hour and a half. All the waiting around to check out though was tedious and tiring.

Our residence for the night.

We had a moment of panic when I hopped on the train to the city centre and the blardy doors closed before Gabby could join me! She said my face was a picture! I took a few deep breaths and got off at the next stop and tried to message her, only to find out that I had no internet... Fortunately she arrived just a couple of minutes later and I hopped back on the train.

We have just been out for a fabulous meal. I had little veal ravioli in a tasty sauce and Gabby chose the rabbit ragout.  We had half each of both meals and it was great food. Even better was the glass of red wine I ordered. Oh my goodness, it was divine. Gabby had a taste and had one for herself, though she'd already got a nice white.  It was like having a birthday meal all over again.

Tomorrow it's the Museum and along with the bog bodies, I will see the Gundestrop Cauldron - something which has fascinated me for decades and like the big bodies, E thought I would never see.

Now I need to read a few pages of my book and get some shut eye.

  1. Wow! Thanks so much for this. We will be in Copenhagen in June. We are taking a cruise of the Baltic from there.

    Thanks for the restaurant info.

    1. You will enjoy it. The Italian restaurant was called Resto I think. A couple of minutes from the hotel we stayed at and lots of restaurants in that area, but some don't open on a Monday night. Resto was busy then, so worth booking your table.
