..... 13,000+ steps round the showground this morning. I will sleep well tonight!
I am as weary as a weary thing. I had all the cats join me on the bed around 3.30 a.m. - that should have alerted me to the fact that it was cold out but all the same I was surprised to step outside to a frosty windscreen. I was up at 4.45 and out the door an hour later. So I had to sort that out before I could get started. Then I noticed that the attic light was on - and had been since I was up there last week, so I went back indoors to turn it off. I had a good run through though, and there was the most amazing sunrise . . .
More photos tomorrow, as I have to have a TimeTeam nap now . . . I got some nice things anyway, will share in the morning.

Hope you grabbed a good nap and your legs aren't aching too much after all that walking. That sunrise is spectacular, I can never capture the colours right.
ReplyDeleteI got over an hour, with the little velvety hotty botty on my feet and T-Team on in the background. I have had a hectic few days and look forward to resting a bit more before I jet off to Denmark.
DeleteLegs are feeling not too bad, but it was hard work dragging the ever-heavier camping trolley round the Fair - ok on the tarmacced paths, but over the grass it was jolly hard work. I wish I had brought my good camera as the one on the phone isn't good on close-ups.
I love that first quilt! The plastic menagerie is weird, who would want that. And glorious pink sunrise. I rarely see a sunrise but here they're never pink--red and orange and blue. Pink is so gentle and petty.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't that keen on it and lots of tiny little white bits to cover holes? Someone else was looking at the quilt next to it so I couldn't shake it out and look properly.
DeleteI have sunrises here (though not as good as at Ynyswen), but always miss the sunsets as I'm on the wrong side of a hill. I can just see some faint pink in the skies.
I noticed the white bits, thought they were part of the print fabric design.
DeleteI don't often see sunrises but we have some fabulous sunsets here. I too am very weary, but most of daughter's garden is sorted. I trimmed masses of stuff back and edged all her front lawn. I've bought her shears home for OH to sharpen and her orchids which look quite sick! OH maintained Iris's bike, checking brakes etc as she has Bikeability next week (like cycling proficiency). Lots of cuddles with Baby C who has found his voice and is shrieking like a steam train whilst grinning at us. Looking forward to the rest of your news. Take care. Xx
ReplyDeleteI imagine your muscles may have been very glad to stop at the end of the day! Need to edge my lawn too . . . Baby C sounds like a good feeding regime and proper care is making a huge difference to him :)
DeleteGorgeous sunrise.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
There probably was this morning too, but at 6 a.m. I just wanted to return to bed!
DeleteIt sounds like such a fun weekend. 13,000 steps though...
ReplyDeleteIn the old days, Keith and I would clock up about 20K steps, as we would walk twice around the outside and didn't leave till about 1 p.m. I am gone by 10.30 ish nowadays.
DeleteA long day..and fortunate that the weather held. That sunrise !!!
ReplyDeleteIt was stunning. Must work out charging my small phone and start using that again as it takes far better photos.
DeleteI love a good bric-a-brac market. I could buy so much stuff but I'd have nowhere to put it. 😆
