A cheering-up day was needed

My OH and I have not long got back from an afternoon at the Cinema, where we went to see the new Bond film, Skyfall.  It was BRILLIANT!  Our son treated us on his Orange Wednesday number, so us two old codgers had a chance to relax and unwind, and I for one, forgot about the recent hassles.  I won't spoil it for those of you who intend to see it, but the action scenes were great, and it was as good as any of the earlier films.  Mind you, if you suffer from vertigo, you may have to shut your eyes in one bit!   It's the first one I've seen with Daniel Craig in and as he reminded me very much of my first love, I enjoyed the eye candy!

I raided M&S on our way back to the car and now have a crusty wholemeal bloomer, Orkney Crab Pate and some Herefordshire Single Orchard cider for tonight.  Bliss.

Thank you for all your kind comments - how it helps to have friends at the tap of a keyboard.

  1. So glad you had a wonderful afternoon out. I need need that kind of day soon ! OMG soon please !

I want to see Skyfall but will wait till it comes to the $3 dollar cinema. I have lost interest in the James Bond movies but this one looks really good so I might take a chance.

Keep warm and give Theo a scratch for me.

    cheers, parsnip

  2. Tonight parsnip, I have been teaching Theo about Roast Chicken. He got the idea of nice greasy skin, but a piece of leg was confusing, so he left it! You will LOVE Skyfall, I promise, and it's worth waiting for.

  3. I am a Bond nut. Love them all. But I especially love Daniel Craig as Bond. I say he is a Bond for the 21st Century villans, and yes, I love the eye candy! The new "SkyFall" looks very good.
From your last post. I quit doing things with Ebay and have had issues with Craigslist. A lot of scammers, and problem children. Though I got my Kitchen Aid mixer on Craigslist and that was a plus.
Have a wonderful rest of the week. Please don't stress out, I am having stress issues too. *Easier said than done".

  4. It is SO good to hear that you and your OH had a day out and a trip to see the Bond film. My menfolk saw it at the weekend and really enjoyed it. You two deserved a treat.

    Onwards and upwards now BB...xx

  5. Sounds brilliant! Glad you enjoyed it.

  6. I'm very envious! We may venture to Okehampton to see it but it's finding (and paying!) a babysitter that's the problem.

So pleased you had a good day out.

  7. Oh BB Skyfall is coming here shortly and I was thinking of taking the farmer - you have persuaded me. I will let you know what we think of it.

  8. Sounds like an afternoon spent well. So glad you could put recent hassles behind you. Have a good evening :-)
