Gone With the Wind . . .

This morning's sunrise.  Just so beautiful and it reminded me of Gone With the Wind.  I am having to rest a bit this afternoon - my poor brain just keeps saying "sleep" but I am listening out for lot numbers at an on-line auction.  The first lot went over what we wanted to pay, but the lot WE were selling, failed to make the reserve.  Sod's Law at work!

Husband has taken daughter to the GP as she is unwell (on two fronts - such a worry) and to collect her car which had to be rescued with steering issues on Friday. 'tis an "intermittent fault . . ."

So apologies for being quiet - a busy weekend has caught up with me.  Off for a nap now and hope to post something more exciting later.

Nap interrupted before it started, by the Agent booking in another viewing for this week - so we have one on Thursday and one on Friday now.  I have been cleaning windows, touching up paintwork, tidying things away etc.  Please send positive thoughts our way please - for poorly daughter.

  1. Well we seem to share the same sunrise today. It was absolutely beautiful, shading down to soft pink/soft blue and then cream. Hope your daughter is not too ill for long.

  6. Positive thoughts for your daughter - I am sure you would rather be ill yourself than worry about your daughter so hope all is well.
Hope the viewings go well too

  7. My daughter has had health issues similar to Tam's--on at least one 'front' as you put it. It can be discouraging to go through a course of antibiotics and have an infection making a return visit.
House viewings: how we labor for them--hours of work to make things look just so and the viewing over so quickly. Did I ever mention the time that the realtors failed to notify me of an early morning showing: I was in sweat pants, at my sewing machine with the breakfast dishes still in the sink--felt quite flustered by the unannounced arrival on the doorstep, but the couple bought the house!

    1. Tam's spoken to her (PRIVATE!!) Consultant now - and yes, she did have to go Private to get the treatment she knew she needed), and he has said what she is experiencing is par for the course, so keep taking the tablets!

Oh my goodness - we had a "they're at the gate" viewing too, and they loved the house despite its untidiness. Keith always says, it's the house not what's in it, but I like to have everything just so, being a perfectionist and not wanting to be judged!

  8. Sharon - thank you for these kind words. Tam may have to see her consultant again - a real hit in the wallet now she is working for herself.

As for the house viewings - as you know we had a similar, an they really liked the house, but we have to see if theirs will sell . . . Ifelt a tad flustered too (with my knickers still hanging on the indoor driers!!
