When the paddock is cut we have a Visitor
We had the paddock cut this week. The cats were delighted and so were the birds, all out there hunting for grub. Then along came Mr Fox (a youngster). Cats weren't bothered by him but he sat and looked at the cats for a while, puzzled.
He found a squished mouse or vole I think, as he ate something.
Then he just sat and looked at the cats for a while.
He is so beautiful isn't he? But is that a white hen in the left hand corner of your photograph?
ReplyDeleteThat's Squeaker cat - the latest waif and stray to arrive here. The photos aren't very clear as it had somehow got set on automatic flash and I was in a panic to get a photo before Mr Foxy disappeared.
DeleteGreat photos of your little visitor.
ReplyDeleteWe've had them on the patio before, and they have been known to make off with the cat bowls!
DeleteNever seen a fox round here, think they are hunted. This little one reminds me of the kitten, who is always peering over the church wall just watching.
ReplyDeleteWell, not legally, but then Yorkshire folk always did do things their way. Hope your little kitten is enjoying the tranquility in your garden.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading this post today. The little fox is beautiful and I like the way he is trying to figure out who is who. Plus the cat just sitting there with back turned. Hope he doesn't get killed along with the badgers.

Wow, how wonderful to capture some photos of your beautiful visitor. He/she looks very thoughtful in the past photo.
ReplyDeleteWill the fox eat the cats? Or he would but can't catch them? He is very beautiful, maybe hungry or thirsty>
