The last 1/3rd of the paddock was just too much for it. THEY lied when they wrote 1:50 on the side - it should have been 1:25 (oil to petrol ratio - I "think") . . . It overheated. And how. We took it to our neighbour to try to fix this evening. I hope it will survive. We joked about taking it to be blessed in church on Sunday. I think it could do with a prayer and a wing behind it . . .
String trimmers are notorious for mis-behavior. Those using them probably end up needing to go to church to repent of the bad language brought on by the malfunctioning equipment!
ReplyDeleteGosh you're right there MM - you should have heard Danny the other day, when it kept cutting out!
ReplyDeleteI've got a fantastic group of strimmers, my little goose family, and they fertilise as they go.
ReplyDeleteJennifer - that sounds like a VERY good idea! Guard geese too : )
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at this post. Years ago, I decided to help my husband by "edging" our large corner lot. Not only did the trimmer die on me (time and again) but I ended up having to get a shot of cortisone in my elbow for "tendonitis" brought on by using the trimmer for hours! That was the last time I ever did that!

Dianne

SH - both the menfolk were saying how the wretched machine was hurting their arms/shoulders etc.
ReplyDeleteNow it is about to be bought home for burial as it has died completely - the mix was wrong - should be a 1:25 mix according to our mend-it-all mechanic.
