Thank you all for your kind thoughts. Having slept on it, I know it was the right thing to do for her, before she got any worse. She was happy here, and spent Saturday sunbathing in the garden, and I'm glad about that. She was very loving and affectionate and all the other cats got on with her. Bless you Amber, and I'm glad you chose us.
I am so sorry to hear the sad news about Amber. My thoughts are with you and I hope happy memories will help you through such an upsetting time. Its never an easy decision but you made the right one to save her suffering.
Thank you Lynda, Rowan and R. Robin. She has left quite a gap but she had been very happy and much loved, so I can balance that against these sad moments. I fear Lucy may be gone by Christmas too . . .
Sending you hugs, she had a good life with you x

ReplyDeleteEven though she has slipped into the ether her paws are still wrapped round your heart. Cats choose their owners and she chose well in picking you.

ReplyDeleteThe right decision I am sure BB. If only some humans could have the same sort of choice.
ReplyDeletePat - I'm inclined to agree with you there. No person or animal should suffer.
ReplyDeleteSorry to read this. As others have said, a tough decision to make but always the right one when you know your animals. x
ReplyDeleteThank you CT. I am glad I made that decision as I can't let animals suffer.

ReplyDeleteShe looks so much like my CatCat that we lost nearly two years ago now.
It's always sad to lose one of our animal family but she has had a long and happy life with you and will leave you with many happy memories.
