I'm sick of winter!

New header photo (Rosebay Willowherb - aka Fireweed t'other side of the Pond) taken near a reservoir just outside Sheffield last summer.  I am SICK of winter.  More snow on the Brecon Beacons today, including snow on Black Mountain that wasn't obvious on Friday when we drove pat on the A40.

An early start and a busy day at a Fair today, and an even earlier start tomorrow.  The reason for which will be revealed.  Meanwhile, another summer photograph to cheer us all up.

  6. We are all so ready to walk along a lane bordered with a wildflower meadow! [And I say that even knowing that Kentucky winters don't have a patch on those of other years in New England and Wyoming.]
A few nights of poorer than usual sleep don't improve one's mood when the weather sulks for days on end.
Neither your life at the moment nor mine seems to allow us to draw the curtains on the storms outside and hunker down with books and sewing--we must put on our boots and brave the elements.
