Get Well Soon Pat (Weaver of Grass)

Looking across to Llanfynydd on a recent walk.

In my corner of Blogland, blogging friends have mentioned that one of my favourite Bloggers Pat (Weaver of Grass) has had a fall and broken her hip.  She is now in Hospital, but I hope will be on the mend again soon and back home.

These things happen so easily - Keith has a barked shin from tripping over the sack truck yesterday and we have to go out this morning to Llandeilo to get dressings and tape . . .

    Keep safe all.

    1. Let's hope that Pat is better soon Jay Cee, and indeed that we all stay safe.

  2. So hoping Pat is able to have good recovery. We know that breaking her hip was one of her biggest fears. She is such a tremendously gifted person--kind, intelligent and thoughtful. Her blog has been an inspiration for years, so I joy you in wishing her well. Likewise, I hope Keith's shin mends well, too. Not what either of you needs on top of all the moving issues. Take care.

    1. I think in your 80s, all falls are worrying. I agree with you about Pat's blog - lovely to carry a bright mind and the art of discussion well into retirement.

Keith has submitted to a plaster on the worst bit! He was all for "letting the air get to it." Hmmmph!

  4. I'm posting from British Columbia, Canada to add my good wishes to Pat for a speedy and winning recovery from her fall. I read Pat's blog every day and seem to have come to kind of know her. I'm so sorry that she has had this fall and hope she will soon be back online so we can hear from her again. Marie

    1. Hi Marie and welcome. I hope Pat will get to read this post soon and see so many friends, worldwide, wishing her a quick recovery. Her son must be very worried.

  5. Wishing Weaver of Grass a speedy recovery. I have a slight idea of how long recuperation will take as our youngest son broke his hip in a freak accident this past February.

    God bless.

  6. I was so sad to read that. She was so worried about falls and now she's had one, and it is a bad one. I think it would be very nice if we could work out a way to get cards to her. She's got so many readers. I think it would be tremendously cheering to get cards from all around the world. I hope someone can sort out a way to do that without putting her address out there, maybe a PO box.

  8. I have been reading your blog for a few months now and wish you the very best for your move. It is such a lot of hard work and decisions.
Thank you for information on Pat's accident. She has tried so much to stay active and healthy. Please wish her the very best and hopes for a speedy recovery.
Take care yourselves. It is so easy to trip when rushing about to get things done.
