Monday

Not a very exciting title, but my brain just wants to hibernate.  I had a blip with my asthma medications on Saturday night and it made my heart go at 3 times its normal (slow) rhythm, which was really quite scary at the time and I still don't feel relaxed.  One of my medications has the side-effect of heart arythmia - and the last time I had this effect, I was in hospital for 24 hours having it checked out . . .

Anyway, after Storm Aiden and other Wet and Windy Events, our river has been up and stayed up.  It's like this again this morning, but the photos were taken last Thursday:

    1. Thanks Ellen. My nerves still feel on high alert, but slowly getting things done and allowing myself to be distracted by an old series I missed 1st time round (Pioneer House).

Glad you liked the river photos.

  2. The problems of asthma are life-long--most of the time our daughter has hers under control, but it doesn't take much create a flare up.
So hopeful for you that when the real estate transfers are finally accomplished you can begin to settle into your new home and have a bit of rest before time to renovate a garden.

    1. Stress is NOT a good thing where asthma is concerned, and that combined with smoke from the oven pushed me over the edge. Hence the extra medication. I shan't do that again in a hurry.

I wish I could just wave a magic wand and have us in our new home, but it's a few weeks yet. The bod for the electrics check is coming out next week - I wouldn't allow him here during Lockdown and he was fine with that.

Looking forward to seeing what is growing in my new garden.

  3. The river looks angry! Hope you feel better soon.

  4. Just as angry today, but it has been MUCH angrier than that. One day last year we feared we wouldn't be able to get home by ANY route. Or perhaps it was the year before. Damnty scary anyway.

Feeling a bit more settled tonight.

    1. Thanks Jill. Feeling better this morning but was up in the night as I overstretched my left hand yesterday (which already has a weak thumb ligament from doing something gardening-orientated that said thumb disagreed with). Had to sit and read until the Paracetamol kicked in.

    1. The river is like that on and off all winter now. It can be a LOT worse, believe me!

  7. BB, could you help me. Do you get an email saying there is a new post on my blog or do you comment on it direct from your reading list on your blog. Got a possible glitch, thank you.

    1. Yes I get an email. Then I just click on your blog to post a reply (which is what I've done). I have you in my side bar, but that doesn't ever "update" so to speak.
