Back to walking
View towards Aberedw.
A garden escapee (I may try for a root . . .) growing in a hedgerow. This is Geranium "Ballerina" I believe. |
Valerian. |
Foxgloves, of course, all over the place at the moment.
Finally, the view over Llanelwedd from our bathroom window, on the zoom, showing the little wind vane which is always turning.
The same view 24 hours later - just before I set out on this evening's walk (well, late afternoon really). It didn't come on to rain though it looked threatening. I walked twice as far tonight. Views in the morning.
You have very beautiful countryside and i suspect walking with you would be like walking with my botanist uncle - a really interact with the surroundings, looking for interest.
ReplyDeleteWe are very fortunate - the main road up and through mid-Wales gives only a little hint of what beauty lies off the beaten track. I have always been interested by Nature, so am always on the lookout for things which are different, and plants through the seasons.
DeleteThat's the magic of the countryside, how no two captures of the same view are the same.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. I have to try not to take the same views all the time - because I am normally taking these views through gateways - but even in the 24hours between walks and photos, the tractor cutting silage in one field, became an empty field and black-bound wraps of haylage in another.
DeleteYou live in a lovely area - the Builth and Radnor hills are such little known gems. Amazing ski in that afternoon photos - sun on the threatening sky.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. My only regret is that we didn't move here in the first place, or manage to get here ten years ago, when my husband was in better health. I love threatening sky photos.
DeleteLovely views and wild flowers. You have moved to such a lovely area :)
ReplyDeleteCome and visit when you are in the caravan - LOVELY walks round Builth.
DeleteDefinitely had some moody/atmospheric skies on your walk. Clearly, those overcast skies helped you could get some stunning photos of the flora.
ReplyDeleteI didn't dare risk a walk yesterday - we kept having tremendous heavy showers for longer than you would want to shelter under a tree.
DeleteBeautiful countryside.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lizzy. More photos to come from a longer walk.
