There be MONSTERS here . . .

This wee chappy was in the Murder and Mayhem shop.  I'd not been in there before, but they have a superb collection of crime fiction.  I suppose this may have been a sheep in a previous incarnation . . .

  3. It was on the half-landing in the shop, along with a lady in Victorian clothes, and bats 'n' stuff, and the sheep was static - well, you would be with a pole through your head!

  5. I like the header too Weaver, but my daughter had to help me fiddle in Paint so I could get it the right size - 60% of 50% I think . . . It's a new shop which has opened up in Backfold. I didn't' dare go in as I saw a chap come out with an armful of Delphiniums, Stocks and I think it was Nigella. All my favourite flowers.

  6. Yes, that's a lovely photo; sunflowers are among my all time favorites. We grew a row one year that was over ten feet tall when the bad boys finally bloomed with twenty-inch heads. Amazing plants, they are.

  8. Em - it's just a bookshop!

Lynda - my dear friend MM sent me Sunflower seeds to grow this year, but with the late cold spring and me being ill again, they are still on the dresser, so I hope they will be OK for next year.

    Sorry MM . . .
