Still here

Busy and not quite 100% and off to babysit tomorrow, so will check in again on Saturday with the rest of the photos from Tewkesbury Abbey. Luna Lapin's dress is nearly finished - just slightly flummoxed over the instructions for making the bow on the front of her dress.  May need to bodge it myself!

I finally got to the Library again today, and got a book that Sue in Suffolk will need to add to her lengthy list - My Animals (and other Family) by Phyllida Barstow (A rural childhood 1937 - 1956) and set in the Wye Valley.

Thanks to Sarah in Sussex, I can now attribute the wonderful triptych properly.  It was painted showing Jesus Christ, Jerusalem and Tewkesbury, at a cost of £22,000 by Bulgarian Artist Silvia Dimitrova, and took her two years.  The link will give more details.

    1. I have no idea who painted this or when, as no details given in the guide book. I can see I missed some of the details - like his head pictured in a roof boss.

    1. Well, it is in my pile to read! Still working my way through the last few JD Kirks which my friend sent me. Held to ransom a bit by those

    1. They are well worth visiting, whether they are ruined or like this one, still all in one piece. I will try to get to Worcester cathedral soon. Not this Malvern Fair though, as there's an Open Garden I want to visit near me on the way back.

  5. Oh gosh, don't give Sue anymore to add to her list, she'll be going bankrupt. 😄

    2. You should write your own about you and Colin and your smallholding, and doing up houses.

  7. I must look at the bow in your photos and see if I can offer help as I used to be quite good with bows.

  9. I'm intrigued by Bunny's bow issue, how complicated could it be? I found only one pic of a bow, looked like tubular bias, stitch, turn, press. Belt part is separate? Rem it is a child's toy! Last doll dress I made a mistake on the back closure, and had no time to corect it; the child didn't notice a thing wrong. Show us a pic plus directions?
