It's another no . . .

At least we heard back quickly this time.  Our house wasn't suitable for them because it looks onto farm buildings (in the details it states it is next to a working farm and this WAS the farmhouse for the farm) and although they don't have horses, just "may" in the future, apparently the land was not as extensive as other properties they had seen.  Well, since they have never had to maintain fences and land, I wish them well with a bigger acreage.  I am gutted, but not surprised.

  6. So sorry to hear the bad news - someone out there will fall in love with your house and buy it I am sure although I can imagine how disheartened you must be.

  7. Thank you everyone. I guess the right people will come along eventually. People are SO exacting though and mostly being townies relocating, have no idea of what real countryside in Wales is like - e.g. no street lights, no shop on the corner, MUD, it rains, there are FARM buildings on a FARM . . . there is livestock on a FARM!! 5 1/2 acres isn't a huge amount of land, but when you think you have got a bargain with a property with 17 acres, you just try looking after it, especially when you have no livestock to graze it and no idea about land and hedgerow maintenance.
