Early morning

I couldn't sleep from 3.15 onwards -I shall blame the two glasses of wine I had.  Anyway, I finally gave in and came downstairs. Went back up to put makeup on (we're off to a car boot sale shortly, the first one I've been to this year) and I couldn't resist taking some photos of the view from the bathroom window, with the river mist striating the landscape.

Will be busy this week with my friend here, but will try and pop in when I can.

    1. It's a quarry behind the mist, but hey ho . . .

  2. Ah, wine. Now in my past, sadly. Well, you beat me. My start yesterday was 5:00 a.m. so less than four hours sleep. Enjoy your week with your friend.

    1. Keith sleeps far better than I do. He can drop off straight away but I lay there worrying! Sorry you didn't get enough sleep either.

  3. What a lovely view. Nothing wrong with wine - ask the Romans! Drinking morning tea in bed now and looking forward to a quiet and peaceful Sunday. Enjoy the company of your friend and don’t worry about popping in here - we”re not going anywhere. Sarah x

    1. I enjoy wine, but have to be careful not to use it as a prop when worrying. Hope that you had a peaceful day yesterday. Ours was very enjoyable - just strolling round Presteigne in the sunshine was a delight.

  4. I've had mornings like that but never got a photo like you, very nice to wake up to. Good luck with the car boot, I cannot say I enjoy them

    1. When I was doing my degree I would set my alarm for 4.30, as with 3 children under 10 it was the only time I got any peace to study! The car boot sale was VERY worthwhile. Love 'em!!

    1. That's where the sun comes up too and so some lovely sunrises on occasion.

    1. It is often misty because of the River Wye keeping it so. Pretty to look at though.
