What I bought . . .

I spent too much of course, but it was the money from the cake baking,  not my pension so guilt soon left me!

The gorgeous Rose and Hubble print for Rosie's first dress by grams (me).

This was quite similar to a dark blue WM print I'd been using so I snaffled it up.  I need some more of two other prints now that I have been making up some blocks and have to get more of that now I have a theme going.

This is the sampler I bought, which has a "tea stained" look.

I want to start this straight away but am as far as putting the collar on Luna Lapin's dress, so one thing at a time.  This is the only kit I bought (hence £19.99) - the others were all patterns.

I shall start sewing this in October for Rosie's Christmas wallhanging.

One for later . . .

Now you know me, how could I resist these meeces?

This is a gift for a friend.

This one you've seen made up.  She is going to need a LOT of stuffing!!

Purchased from Ebay - a straightforward looking frock pattern for Rosie.

These items were purchased from Temu - after my quilting teacher said they were fine to buy from and so cheap because you were buying straight from the  (Chinese) manufacturers.  The triangles were £3.09.  In shops and fairs they are around £32!!

These transfers were £3.31 and I liked the whimsey of them - very folk art.

As you can see, it arrived broken across the top (hoping to glue it).  Emailed Temu and they refunded me the £4.06 straight away and told me to keep it!  I will definitely use them again.

Right, now watering round duties call (and Rosie wants to go outside again).  She loves it out there.

  2. I know, I did go a little mad didn't I? I won't see these on line unless I noted them down (e.g. took a photo) and then looked them up on line later. Considering I was going to make toys at school in needlework, I think I am far better equipped to do it now!!

  3. I was not happy with my Temu purchases, which were metal dies that only cut through copier paper!
The Rose and Hubble is simply beautiful. Like me, you have enough to keep you crafting for about five hundred years or so.

    1. That's a shame. I shan't be buying more. Tam told me yesterday that I was supporting slavery by buying through Temu, as they exploit their workers - mainly the Uyghurs, who are Muslim and despised by the Chinese.

    2. I had heard that too, so I won't be buying from Temu again either.

  4. You went slightly excessive there... but in a good way. Sometimes lots of nice things come along all at the same time and you just have to go with the flow. 😀

    1. When I've been in the past, it's mainly just fabrics or rulers etc I bought. Rosie loves her cuddly toys now, so I am motivated!

    God bless.
